PA Chesapeake Bay Planning Steering Committee Meets Sept. 10 On Outreach, Engagement

The PA Chesapeake Bay Watershed Planning Steering Committee is scheduled to meet on September 10 and on the tentative agenda is a discussion of the materials its Communications and Engagement Workgroup is preparing to educate and engage the public and stakeholders in the process of developing the Phase III Watershed Implementation Plan.
There will also be an update on progress with the pilot county planning process that started at the beginning of summer in Adams, Franklin, Lancaster and York Counties.
The pilot program is test-driving the draft county clean water toolbox designed to help develop a county-level plan to meet specific nutrient and sediment reduction targets in these counties.
There will also be updates on other elements of the watershed planning process.
At the last meeting, the Committee heard draft recommendations on how best to achieve nutrient and sediment reductions from the critical Agriculture and Forestry Workgroups.
The meeting will be held in Room 105 Rachel Carson Building starting at 1:00.  Click Here to register to join the meeting by webinar.  Participants also need to call in 1-650-479-3208, PASSCODE 641 463 243.
